When I signed up I was paying $29/month for sports and entertainment. It then went to $38. Now $58 as of today.

I rang up to do the silly dance and the best they could do was go back to $38 for 12 months.

Anyone paying less at the moment? I'm not in a position to actually follow through with the cancellation (I pay for Foxtel for my grandad) so it would be interesting to know what discount people get if they're in a position to cancel.

That's a pretty reasonable reduction though.

Just rang up as my package was about to expire, Sports/Entertainment & HD. Was paying $39. Best deal they could offer was $5 off HD, so was going to be $63.

Needless to say I declined that offer. And I guess I'll be calling back another day and do the usual threaten to disconnect.

And will you actually call their bluff and disconnect if they don't give you anything further?

Yeah, I only use it for sport which I can view off Kayo/other methods so it's not a huge loss for me.

Yeah you're really telling foxtel to stick in when you use kayo

If it works out better for you obviously it's a win anyway, of course.

I'm well aware Kayo is owned by Foxtel.

I would be sweet with getting Kayo but Foxtel have me by the short and curleys because our internet is so shit lol, so i have to have the TV box to get any sort of reliable broadcast quality.

Started at $40 a month about two years ago and paying almost $70 now, so a phone call wont be far away.

Rang them back, different operator was able to give me an ok deal. $49 for 4 months, Entertainment, Sports & HD. $10 more than what I was paying but I'll settle for that at the moment.

Edit: I should add the 2nd person I spoke to said, to call back in the future as they will have some more deals soon, but couldn't specify what or when.

Accept for when you want to resume anything, you got to start all over again. F1 replays for example.

I don't know why they don't provide a app like Netflix, it's so much better.

ah, i did notice the only options are to watch from live or watch from start

once you're in the watch from start, you can skip ahead though (i think)?

Yeah you can but take a picture of the time you left off from, otherwise it's a pain to get back where you where. F1 races are 5 to 6 hours long, imagine trying to find and resume. lol.

Footy should never have ads, you do actually miss little bits of things that go on when you view it with ads.

I agree. The worst is when they score and channel nine flicks to a quick ad, you come back and you've missed the conversion kick. (Wait 10 minutes for the replay)

Apparently there is a new firmware available for the IQ4....1.18.1.16.

I'm currently sitting on 1.17.1.20 which most would be too. I tried a manual update this morning.....no good.

Yeah I saw that somewhere too.

Any idea what it brings, that we will notice?
