So they are happy to come out install everything....and then take it all out afterwards to not even give you a couple of months at half price?

yeah this sucks - "Not available to Foxtel from Telstra or Optus TV featuring Foxtel Platinum customers".

Why do they make this distinction for Presto, and not Foxtel Go (I'm through Telstra)

This is on the Presto Community site
    So maybe some hope there...

called today to get my discount renewed

they said the 50% off deal i was on finished in October (yeah right)

after a bit of arguing (i didn't press too hard), they gave me Platinum HD for $89/month for the next 12 months, but no contract so i can cancel anytime

it's not the best deal, but better than paying $134/month!

Heads up, can sign up if you're got Foxtel through Telstra now.

I did it the other day, and yeah I wouldn't pay for Presto, it's not uh, very good

Not bad, Im still paying $134/m or there abouts, its heaps considering all the times you flick through seemingly endless channels and nothing is worth watching ...

    :tired:

Is it better to go direct with Foxtel or Telstra? Im currently with Telstra and have been with Foxtel direct. The only difference I noticed is Foxtel direct gives you more control, you can log in and change packages/channels.

Edit: Telstra just told me they have no options for better pricng outside the $134/m Im paying ... ffs

Can you cancel it? Foxtel would/might want you to sign up on a way better deal than that.

My current deal is ~$70 per month (I think, it's dd'd each month) and includes everything except movies. I've had it for aprox 4 years.

I may be cancelling at the end of this current epl season though given they've lost the broadcasting rights.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, whereby if soccer ceased to exist my life would remain unchanged :)
