Someone on OzBargain claimed they were getting the sports package by itself i.e not paying for the base package at all. Is that possible?

generally you need to call up and threaten to cancel, mention streaming services like Netflix etc. and that it's too expensive

from all reports, it isn't too hard to get the $89 deal

anything is possible, but i haven't heard many people getting that

    would love it though!!!

Never heard of even one person getting that deal. Very much doubt it's possible, so I'd want to see some kind of evidence.

If it was true there would be a line a mile long to sign up.

I'm a Foxtel hater but their sports coverage was always top notch when I was using them.

It had its teething problems and it pissed me off for a long long long time.

I got an IR remote and whatever update they have rolled out has fixed everything up. I love the extra recording space and the Wi-Fi access. Our house has multiple circuits running different phases in the house so the power point near my router doesn't work for Ethernet over Power...

Guys, Im on Foxtel Platinum HD with Telstra so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. Can you have Foxtel Play without Foxtel TV? Can you watch everything just like Foxtel TV? Do they show FTA channels on Play (as I have zero FTA reception)?

I was booked in to have my installation today 10am-2pm and no one came. I rang up they say its booked on the 9th even though I have a message on my phone saying today. Bloody useless.

A guy rang me up to say he will be there at 3pm, it's 4pm now and no one.

I should get a weeks worth of discount right?

I am thinking about canning my telstra foxtel then wait a while a join foxtel direct, does that make me a new customer? I was with foxtel direct years ago, would I still be a new customer?

are you still paying for the service at the moment?

if so, you might have a case, but i generally find trying to argue with Foxtel pretty hopeless

just try and play dumb, you might get lucky

We all whinge and complain but the guy explained to me he was going from the north to the south to the east and the west today in heavy traffic. I could see why they are late sometimes. Shit happens.

Nah, they do this every now and then, before I had Platinum I would sometimes have the Movies pack, then the Doco's.

I think they do it to let people see what else is there and hopefully they will call up and get it on.

Only deal I know of recently is the Platinum HD Foxtel package through Telstra free for three months, no strings.
