Yeah sounds about right. Out of interest what setting does everyone have their output set to? I've switched between 1080i, Pass through and Auto, and I've found pass through is no good, and auto and 1080i seem fairly similar.

Changing "energy saving level" seems to have worked and can leave it on for hours now without it powering down. Thanks guys.

Just got off chat after negotiating with Telstra.

So now have the same package for another 2 months. This is Foxtel through Telstra.

So that's the initial free three months, plus 2 free months (ent + sports), plus another 2 free months (ent + sports)

Currently paying $41/month for ent + sports + drama + docos + hd.

Can you renegotiate before the contract has finished?

I only know negotiations with Foxtel from Telstra and you can most definitely do that with Telstra. If you are approaching the end of your contract with Foxtel I see no reason why you can't phone them up to negotiate.

In that case will wait till the current offer is near to expire and then try to negotiate a better deal.

    Many Thanks :)

I got Basic, Entertainment Plus, Drama, Movies, HD for $55. Which was a $30 discount. I was ok with that.

My business partner had massive issues with IQ3 and rang to cancel, and ended up keeping it for 12 months with no hardware cost, ended up with ent+, movies, sport, HD for $32/month

Desperate just doesn't cover it. I think you just have to be prepared to walk.

No tips other than the usual advice, say you are questioning the value for money, thinking about cancelling, partner doesn't want it, kids never watch it.....etc etc.

Mine is just Telstras billing mistake....but I'll take it! :leet:
