Well, we don't get to go, so I can't sign up..... How much is the flight worth, anyway? It's not that far from Sydney to Auckland is it? How much does it cost to buy a ticket?

um, whoever signs up gets 1 x free ticket, and the referrer also gets 1 x free ticket?

return flight would be ~ $400 from Sydney

Telstra refuses to update our internet to ultimate cable and bundle our bills, unless we update our foxtel to IQ.

Lucky we have only been a customer for 14 years.

Yes, but only from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Those of us at the end of the earth would have to pay to get over east in order to make use of the ticket.....

I don't think you get any FTA HD content on satellite.

I am still rubbing my head as to why anyone would want Foxtel when there are many better alternatives, including Netflix and Hulu available, for cheaper .. just don't get it :Paranoid:

Alot of us have wives and kids that just want it to work now without thinking about it.
and not mess around with VPNs and crap to get overseas services to work and chew through our internet quota, when we can use it for a better purpose!

i get austar every year or so for 6 months, whenever they have a decent no contract deal for 6 months where you get a bunch of shit for just the price of the starter pack.

i wish they could both operate in the same areas so t here is competition. The prices for this stuff is just crap! HD not being standard but an extra you pay a premium for is complete bullshit!

While it may be cheaper, it's hardly better... No live sports on either for a start... Plus I don't need to have a computer connected and eating my bandwidth streaming when the wife wants to watch TV while I'm gaming... Pretty simple really...

Fair enough but ESPN takes care of the live sports for me.

please don't turn this into a "Foxtel is overpriced, i can't believe you pay that much for that crap" thread

it is for subscribers to share their deals around so that other members who WANT to pay for Foxtel can get a better rate :)

I use a program called Playon, which gives me access to 14 or so stations in the US. (including ESPN, CNN, ABC, NBC etc).
