Finally purchased EoP and have attached my Foxtel box to the net  Loving being able to scan My Foxtel app and add scheduled programs when not at home.

Is that any different than logging onto your Foxtel Guide and adding recordings and series linking, which has been around for ages? (before internet connected IQn)

Same thing, just via an app instead of a PC/browser window.

It's nowhere near HD. It's smooth, just blocky.

I think you can get HD Foxtel Sport for about $60 a month. If you don't want IQ3 there shouldn't be an installation cost.

For the F1, I'll watch an Acestream rather than Foxtel Play's woeful excuse for a stream.

Dunno, can't imagine it's any different than what you've mentioned. I'd just declined the net connection upon installation and only just got around to connecting it to the net the other day.....adding scheduled programs is something I'd been missing for the last year. Good to have it now.

Foxtel Play looks garbage on anything other than the Telstra TV.

I'm blown away how good it looks on a Telstra TV - got on in the kids rumpus room and I saw the 1 month free trial - I've spent all week in there watching the NRL channel every night and it is crystal clear (Telstra Cable)

    Currently paying $0.

I moved house 6 months ago, paying for Foxtel through Bigpond and since then it's just been MIA from my bill. The first month I had to pay the relocation fee but since then :thumbup::thumbup:

Yeah I'm getting $20 off every month, with free sport + HD. Thanks Telstra.

    Wow nice.

I'm paying 25/month for platinum HD, multi room off a friends account.

Can you cast Ace yet? That'd be a massive winner for me.

I've been tempted to get Foxtel for a while, but the price is just ridiculous. They're dreaming if the think they can keep this up.

Telstra TV gets a 7Mbps 720p stream (for HD channels)

PS4 gets the standard 3Mbps SD stream

Good to know about Telstra TV. Might be worth looking into - especially given my AppleTV is on the way out.

Definately worth it for Foxtel Play IMO. Wouldn't be otherwise, so might end up a little pointless if streaming to other devices improves.

When I bought it for $89 posted, it also came with $72 Netflix credit and $21 for Bigpond movies.

There is no reason they shouldn't improve the other services...but this is Australia, so as much as it makes sense it may never happen
