At the steam link in the post above
When I went there it just says available 24 April. It does not list any price or give me the option to buy the game

hell yeah, pre-ordered on GoG (AU $34.95).
cheers for that
Anyone seen anything from developers showing that in game time is longer than 40 days?
As that seems a bit short.
Can't find the quote, but one of the devlogs was talking about different game modes, which some people are assuming means there could be a an "endless" mode as well as the story mode we've seen in the demo. The devs seem to go quiet when asked about the longevity, whereas they are pretty open on most aspects of the game.
How long did you want the game to last? This War of Mine, 11bit's previous game, managed to tell its story in 40 odd days or so. What has been confirmed is that you won't get to see the kids grow up. And I think there are no mechanics for children being born - but thats is just a vague memory of a dev comment long ago.
On the pacing of the game, Rufus said this last year;
Also its been confirmed that the game support mods, which should be interesting as I have a feeling that the Laws mechanic is what will set this game apart.
With respect to different modes that Wozza above talked about above, they were mentioned in the Q/A section of one of the dev updates;
This is interesting as its the first playthrough where the youtuber mentions there are multiple difficulty levels. Looks like a very new build with lots of snazzy gui improvements from a brief glance. I haven't gone through it fully, just saw it pop up in my feed
The devs had a AMA on Discord...
Preorder at Humble store - https://www.humblebundle.com/store/frostpunk - $US30

New dev update - https://steamcommunity.com/games/323190/announcements/detail/3229520292652050438
Game unlocks 11pm AEST Tuesday 24th April.
I just see it for the standard $29.99.... 1 day late I guess.
What I'd love to see the devs implement into this game would be multi player, somewhere between 4-8 players would be pretty sweet even maybe add some AI in also.
I really love anno 1404 dawn of discovery / Venice because of the multiplayer aspect, not so much for the attacking point but just for the fact that I can enjoy a game with my wife or some friends and I'm not just sitting in a secluded game.
The Ocowian Frostpunk steam group? Steam has voip... just a thought.
