Complicated? Theres an aperture ring and a shutter dial

Clattery lenses has been resolved in FW update

Q menu is the simplest menu system I've seen, everything you need is right there without having to dig through the main menus

Not trying to sway you, just sayin

Only problems I have with this camera are the AF and manual focus issues. If it was mechanical focus and much better AF I would have bought it.

Can't stomach the fact that such an expensive camera is not much better than the x100.

Haven't tried new FW. Q menu isn't the simplest menu I've seen. I like how the ISO changes direction as you scroll through them... ooops.

Rest still stands, also, comment re : X100 above I agree with.

What people wanted was a cheap M9 made in Japan. What Fuji delivered was an expensive X100 without a lens?

So it isn't a rangefinder after all?

*sigh* I think I'll keep my money then.

There is nothing rangefinder about it, tis all EVF / Hybrid. I really like the Hybrid setup but the finder isn't as big as the X100 one.

K-5 should be a little faster than K-7. Also much better in bad/low light than the K-7

    cool. thanks!

I'll probably stop by vanbar soon.. my k7's focus is getting dodgy. I think the sensor may have shifted. (hooray for extended warranty :Paranoid:)

Yeah, did. AF was similar, perhaps a bit faster on the K-5. The really big difference between the K-7 and K-5 was the big increase in image quality, especially at higher ISO levels. Can't believe you're still shooting with the K-7!

Nice to see Fuji putting in the firmware improvements. Now if only they'd bring that to the X100 as well... :)

Anyone seen anything about the new 14mm lens working with the OVF? It seems like it would be too wide, but I'm not sure

Ok guys, been a few years since I have bought anything major or new. Have decided to sell my nikon stuff off, which will help pay towards the new X-pro1 setup.

So having said that, have many or any of you found any really really good deals about? The cheapest I have seen the X-pro1 body and lenses for are the following, but not sure if these sites are good/legit etc.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 Mirrorless Camera including 18mm f/2.0 XF R Lens
Fujifilm X-Pro1 Mirrorless Camera including XF35mm F/1.4 Lens
Fujifilm X-Pro1 Mirrorless Camera including 60mm f/2.4 XF Macro Lens

There is also Citiwide which has it for similar but more expensive prices.

Any one else got some links to similar prices. And also I have no clue if any that I have mentioned so far are all grey imports or not. Is MACK warranty a pain these days?

    Ollie :)

They are really good prices. The body alone was 1700 a few weeks ago

Yeah that's what I thought. Just wondering what the warranty deal is with those sites? Any ideas? Grey Imports?

Also I just watched a youtube video of a guy talking about a price drop in the way of a $300 money back after you purchase one. So I am wondering if maybe Fuji have taken note of so many people complaining about price.

I don't think the new firmware is out just yet; someone on WP and fujixforums mentioned a release time of 06:00 GMT, so in about three and a half hours from now.

Should have it now... so how does it go then?

I am ordering my X-pro1 in the next day or so from either Teds in Melbourne for $1899 or locally as they said they would price match. On the Teds site that price comes with the 35mm f1.4. Or $1250 by itself, body only. They just had a massive price drop on it. Can't wait!!

    Ollie ;)
