Considering I posted this in the PC Games category, one should assume I mean PC Games.

Yeah but by console, I don't mean the rubbish on the market today, I mean the classics and that is what developed me as a gamer from the get go :D

Depends what you want to improve at.

If it is pure aiming in fps, I would look at a death match mode in the game you are playing.

If it is twitch reaction the above with no sound. Quake live, any other fast fps.

If it is movement skills then I would look at surf or maze/survival mods in the game you play possibly a similar engine, e.g. for DoD 1.3 use CS 1.6 surf (I known the physics are different but not so much where it counts.

For teamwork and comms, playing scrims in a dedicated team with a good competition.

A game that particularly improves my aim and movement is NS/2. The more I play that the better I fragged. I'm not pro or anything though, just an old DoD player.

Tribes series. Smacking helicopters in with dumb fired rockets is just so rewarding. A midair in Tribes sometimes takes out all of your health, whereas a midair in a MMS will kill several people and a vehicle.

I'll add that the COD games actually make you a worse gamer. After playing a COD game for a while if I go back to another FPS, such as CS, I find my aim is very poor etc. It's like COD guides the bullets towards your 'target' for you, even on the PC.

If you want to find out who had sex with your mum last, COD wins hands down.

Also, it's handy if you're questioning your sexual orientation.

Personally I'd say either CPMA (which is basically dead in aus, so not really so much of a good choice) or TF2 SoapDM, if TF2 is your thing.

Hell, just about any Deathmatch mod for most Source games is good, CS 1.6, HL2DM, DoD, etc. Way I see it though, generally the more you play, the better your aim gets over time, there's not really a shortcut to god-tier accuracy with your preferred control method.

then League of Legends obviously doesn't cos two of their major players got banned for player misconduct: bad language and so forth to where they averaged at least 6 times more player conduct reports than the average LoL player.

MOBA's in general just seem to make people into insensitive dickholes ESPECIALLY when it comes to new players. Nice work expanding your playerbase .

I have seen it first hand with some of my friends. Mobas really bring the worst out of people.
