    • I would use the media box to play training videos and apps at my fire brigade. To help with training firefighters.

    • The prices and products on gear best seem good. Unsure of shipping.

    1. Why YOU need this Mini TV Box

I need this box because I've never known the feeling of winning any competition before :p

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest

Never had any dealings with GearBest but allowing me to win this competition would propel GearBest to no.1 on my list of stores that have given me a winning feeling!

We're building a new house and both TVs are not smart, so having a second android box would be ideal for our new situation at the end of the year.

With regards to their site. I like that the product listings are super informational. They really seem to be trying to give as much information, video, pictures of the products that I browsed through. Easy to find deals as well.

I dislike that there is no easy way to find where they are based.. are they American? Australian? Chinese? It's really hard to know.. Even when you go to the contact us page, there is still no way to know.

    1.
i would love to be able to replace my aging dell gx680 running kodi, to something that looks nice, and performs well for the folks.

    2. i quite like their layout, it works great on my portrait monitor(1080x1920).
the color scheme makes it easy to read.

i would prefer the option of an apply button when filtering product searches,
it also resets the view order to "hot" whenever i change anything form my preference of $ lowest to highest.

Anything to get away from using a laptop for streaming!

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest

Have never heard of Gearbest until today. The site looks like a deals website meaning I will be keeping an eye on it more often.

    nice offer, cheers

1: to replace tired (and large/power hungry) athlonx2 based machine currently hooked up to our 50" non-smart TV

2: had a look through the website, nice range of gadgets and will probably pick up a cheap tablet and RC car for the kids/myself soon :D

    1. I'm using a first generation WDTV and I suspect this is an upgrade. Got to be in it to win it!

    2. "No sucking-up required" Excellent! They appear to be some kind of electronic goods retailer. Further clicking reveals they have a clothing selection with some rather good prices on Jackets... Perusing commences.

    1) Turns out the smart in my smart TV isn't so smart, so a mini android machine would be perfect!

2)Honestly feels a lot like dx, but it seems to have a better range of things like phones and tablets ect.

1: I need this box in advance of the great and holier than thou Tones and Rupert denying me my Torrents. If either of those clowns think I am going to pay them for that 'privilege' they are on far better drugs than I am. I will give my money to others instead.

2: Seems like a very handy box to have.

I could do with a tv media box as my old WD live no longer cuts the mustard.
Gearbest has a lot of interesting gear, and I dont have enough money to buy.

    1. I've tried many different media streamers from the first gen XBox with XBMC, Apple TV1 and now ATV3. I've had the popcorn hour, the WDTV, RaspberryPi and a pile of different Android based boxes. This one looks like it's getting powerful enough to handle all my HD and UHD needs. Something I'd love to try out.

    2. Gearbest looks like they have an interesting range of products. The site is laid out well enough, although I would suggest a native english speaker might want to tweak some of the language so it reads correctly (rather than looking like a poor google translate cut and paste).

It would also be great if you had a drop down when ordering for which adaptor is needed for power adaptors. That miniTV box looks like it ships with a US plug and an EU plug through adaptor.

BUT! The picture seems to show clip in permanent options for an Australian plug... something which is much much safer than a cheap plug through adaptor. Is that included in the box? Or available as an option?

    1. with this I would have an excuse to buy a new tv, I might even buy one of those flat screen thingies the kids are all talking about these days.

    2. For about a week of using Gear Best I was thinking there name was Gear Beast, I have been deeply disappointed even since realizing. But apparently they are sending me an Aussie power supply to swap out with the US one they sent me so that kind of makes me happy.

To whomever does get it congratulations and enjoy.

I know YOU and he's the system lord of many stars occupied by Jaffas so he doesn't need a petty TV Box from a taree. (But I do)

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest
Its website seems clean and intuitive enough.
Interesting to see that you get points for posting videos which is unique.
But it's still another one of those site that sells cheap China sourced merchandise so customer satisfaction will be the important way to differentiate yourself from others.

    1. To replace my WDTV which keeps turning off and on randomly.

    2. Sorry never heard of this company before.

May the randomness come my way :)
