    1. I need this because I gave my WDLive to my Mum. She's and older Irish lady who knows how to lay a guilt trip and apparently at her age it's important to have "it ain't half hot mum" and "some mother's do 'ave 'em" ready to roll at a moments notice and only an idiot doesn't protect their DVDs from excess usage.

2 I like the Gearbest site. Good layout and didn't leave me annoyed like other sites overloaded with useless info. I have a few of the items I browsed (not even sure where I got them) and saw a few I'll probably end up grabbing.

    1) My zidoo x9 died and i have to send it back to geekbuying.com for warranty.

2)My impression is that you are putting effort in marketing, popping up in numerous sites/forums with promos/competition.

    1. Why YOU need this Mini TV Box

Why I need this box? Because my TV is stupid... and slim wall mounted.. so a regular PC can't fit.. and network connection to my server have next to no functionality making my streaming box useless... this will fit behind the TV and provide all the functionality i would want.

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest

First time on the site.. .interesting range of gear.. decent prices.... will return when I need to buy stuff again.

    1. I need it because I love my gadgets and this TV device is the one type of gadget that I don't have at the moment. It would save the need for hooking up a computer or games console when most of the time I play vintage games that are now available on Android. Lots of potential for this device in my home, and worst case scenario it will give my parents a "Smart TV" if I can't find a use for it.

    2. I have found Gearbest to be fantastic with their products and shipping. Usually products from HK/China take several weeks to arrive. The Australia Line option ($3.99 or so I think) has halved this time easily, and it is still delivered by Australia Post here. Not sure who Gearbest contract to in HK/China but it is definitely the quickest experience I've had with purchasing gadgets from the region, short of paying $15+ for a dedicated courier company. The only confusing part is when paying by paypal, you have to confirm the payment amount and shipping address, and only after confirming this and signing in by paypal can you choose the shipping method. If it was possible to set shipping method before paypal login, it would greatly reduce the confusion.

Great range and their G1W's all appear to be legit.

    1. Because my PS4 is being used as a netflix/media player in my bedroom and I would like to get that back so I can use it for the reason I got it and play some games in my study :p

    2. First impressions of Gearbest are good, has lots of products that I am interested in and I have saved it to my bookmarks for future reference.

    1. Because I'm currently looking for a TV box to stream movies/shows.
    2. Ordered a Xiaomi XiaoYi Camera from them a while back (they had a deal on the camera), arrived fine with no issues, all original packaging. Shipping times were about the same times as similar stores. I even posted a review of the camera

PS3 only gets used for video, this will let me turn it off.

    From the website?
Wasn't obvious prices were in USD by default.
Some of the descriptions are a bit "chingrish".
    No product pics, just renders.
Wouldn't be super confident ordering from them.

    1. I use my faithful WDTV and its OK. I want a player and a streamer that is no hassle to setup and is cheap.

    2. Never seen GearBest before, so this competition is pretty smart idea.

    1. Why YOU need this Mini TV Box
Been looking for something to replace my WD TV Live. This looks like it could be the one.

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest
It'll be where I do my christmas shopping this year! Lots of great gift ideas.
I'll be going through the broader range of products to see whats on offer. Would be keen to find out what shipping is like.

    1. Why YOU need this Mini TV Box
Currently working with Chromecasts and plex for media needs, but this supports 4k so appear like the next logical step.

    2. What your impressions are of GearBest
Havn't had to interact with them in the past, website feels a bit cheap and unpolished. Smart move by passing one of these to an OCAU member for such good opportunity for cheap marketing direct to the nerd zone.
