1. I need this because I gave my WDLive to my Mum. She's and older Irish lady who knows how to lay a guilt trip and apparently at her age it's important to have "it ain't half hot mum" and "some mother's do 'ave 'em" ready to roll at a moments notice and only an idiot doesn't protect their DVDs from excess usage. 2 I like the Gearbest site. Good layout and didn't leave me annoyed like other sites overloaded with useless info. Because my TV is stupid... and slim wall mounted.. so a regular PC can't fit.. and network connection to my server have next to no functionality making my streaming box useless... this will fit behind the TV and provide all the functionality i would want. 2. 1. I need it because I love my gadgets and this TV device is the one type of gadget that I don't have at the moment. It would save the need for hooking up a computer or games console when most of the time I play vintage games that are now available on Android. Lots of potential for this device in my home, and worst case scenario it will give my parents a "Smart TV" if I can't find a use for it. 2. I have found Gearbest to be fantastic with their products and shipping. Usually products from HK/China take several weeks to arrive. The Australia Line option ($3.99 or so I think) has halved this time easily, and it is still delivered by Australia Post here. Not sure who Gearbest contract to in HK/China but it is definitely the quickest experience I've had with purchasing gadgets from the region, short of paying $15+ for a dedicated courier company. The only confusing part is when paying by paypal, you have to confirm the payment amount and shipping address, and only after confirming this and signing in by paypal can you choose the shipping method. If it was possible to set shipping method before paypal login, it would greatly reduce the confusion. Great range and their G1W's all appear to be legit.
