I'm keen pending times, just a bit strapped for time lately. Best bet for me would be a weekday evening.

Is there a guide somewhere to flashes? With the ebay 15% off I was thinking of grabbing one, but I can't work out amongst the cheapie yongnuo's what I need haha.

Thanks for reminding me. I just grabbed one for my GH1. I just went with the cheap, turns, lifts and goes flash :p (460 I think)

I bought a 128gb 800x CF card off ebay yesterday.. $239 but made an offer of $220.. and with 15% off, came to $187..

I'm seriously tempted to buy another as I just know I'd go through a 128gb card in a day at an airshow.. especially now that the card can keep up with the shutter.. I had been using 400/233x cards and would go through 4x32gbs in a day..

If you are able to handle fully manual off camera flash, I'd suggest the Yongnuo YN560-III with a YN560-TX for remote radio control including power levels and groups etc...

I've just grabbed 2x YN-560-III using the 15% off on eBay, and I will grab a YN-560-TX in the near future... will be so much easier than having to go to each flash and manually adjust the power level, especially when its inside a softbox...

Samsung announces NX1 camera, mirrorless, 4K with h.265 codec.

The downside? $3000 with a kit lens and still using Samsung's mount. Could have been a hit if it changed mounts and released at $1500

If Samsung joined the M43 club, I suspect their sales would increase quite a bit...

    100% agree.

RnR, your sneaky edit is silly. Sigma have I believe 6 M43 lenses.

They could do a body, though, instead of mucking around with the Foveon shit that nobody is buying.

Is there a point? Well, no, probably not - the Panasonic and Oly lineups are pretty solid, it's not obvious that there's an unfilled niche to exploit.

Actually, Foveon on a M4/3 platform, with all the lenses out there (rather than leave it with fixed primes or that barely used SA mount) would be an interesting idea..

but would be good with more lenses....

Yeah meant Foveon on a m43 body, but like theSeekerr said, Oly's and Pana's lineup is pretty sweet. Not sure where a Sigma m43 body would sit? Compete with E-P5, and the GX7 maybe.

Went along to the Canon Collective macro workshop at the Canon HQ today. Pity they didn't have the 7D2 there but I did have an extensive play with the 1Dx, it was amazing! That and the 5D3 are such leaps and bounds ahead of my 50D, it was a little depressing.
