Holy crap that Nikon 7100 kit is unreal value
I think the worker got models mixed up, it was a canon 700D
Link is to a 5 year old discount on a subscription to 'crikey'
Plenty of "unwanted gift" 3200's on gumtree
I'm in the process of culling (literally) tens of thousands of photos, most of them are 200 shots of the same thing, and that thing is usually nothing.
I am my own worst enemy.
I've culled 20k this week if it makes you feel any better
yeah i'm doing a cull also, shooting motorsport = lots of frames!
I'm uploading to cloud backup so realising that its going to make sense to cut down on what i'm storing locally
How do you do it
I guess it helps lots if your 30k photos aren't spread over the past 3 years, and your catalog isn't the definition of a massive clusterfuck.
Lots of coffee.. its very different doing it for someone else rather than yourself mind you.. I can cull the hell out of my personal photos pretty easily haha but still pretty picky in choosing what goes out to clients.
I cant be bothered culling, just upgrade storage instead, much more time efficient and for the defrayed cost much more cost efficient.
Culling and storage - has anyone given thought to your family wondering about your photo collection if you suddenly get 6' under?
I know I cant......but I fear that wont stop me
Due to the way I carry my catalog (the whole thing with me on an external hard drive) and the way I back up (1:1 to a 1TB HDD in my server), I am limited to 1TB for catalog size.
One day I'll get a better system.
Are you talking about the RAWs as well?
I'm coming in close on 100,000 images in my LR catalog and it's still under 6GB.
Sold my x100s today. Don't get me wrong, I have sold and bought my fair share of gear in my years, but that was seriously one of the most internal conflict filled decisions ever.
Just found this crazy deal! Someone should jump on it! Such a bargain if you ask me..
Realistic offers only!
6 offers made so far. I wonder if the offers are anything towards a more reasonable price at all. DigitalRev sells it for the equivalent $6220 new. I boggle.
Yet another "I think you are actually on crack" sale.
I do shoot RAW. The catalog itself is only 350MB, but when I say "catalog" I mean the photos that go with it, too. Bit of a misnomer, though.
If that's the case, you can pretty easily continue to be semi-lazy with the current system by just buying 2, 3 or 4TB drives
Kickstarter Lumu Power - a Light Meter for the Future.
The colour sensor is of interest... if accurate will be a cheap option.
