Finally mounted my shell properly. Took a massive fall today, glad I had a shell on!

I dunno about aussie, but amainhobbies in the US have been great to me. I buy most of my gear there and it arrives fast.

    :)

    Hey,

Can anyone recommend a good electric setup for me.

I had a Baja Champ a few years back, and would like to get in to it again but really have no idea what is good.

Budget is around $600-$800 for everything.

    Requirements

    • Needs to be a buggy.
    • Electric
    • 4WD
    • Shaft Drive

I want to assemble it myself and would prefer a kit just so I know everything would together, but with peoples helpful advice I am happy to by separate.

Something like :http://www.rchobbies.com.au/store/p...23582&osCsid=b3f142fc7b924ca3900afc7a3627684b but I am not sure what else that kit needs, and if my budgets extends that far.

$400 from an ausie retailer... dunno what it'll cost to import with the aussie dollar down.

    You racing?

If not, mamba max brushless system:

If yes, you'll need something "ROAR legal".

    +radio
    +batteries

Would probably give you the quickest thing on 4 wheels in the world of RC.

    Thanks,

The engines make it a little pricey when you factor in the radio gear.

I wont be racing so speed isn't that big an issue. More concerned about reliability and battery time.

Here's a couple of pictures of my Losi Mini-T with full alloy upgrades and an 8000kv brushless with a 3s lipo pack. Pulls 100kph on the road, not bad for a 1/18th scale car!

You can get them a fair bit cheaper from here:

    http://www.b-p-p.com/product.php?productid=155&cat=48&page=1

Go for the 5700kV if you want to use 3S lipo.

I got carried away and acquired one too many buggies :p
Add to that GTBs and novak BL motors and this becomes one expensive hobby.

Commando did you get your e-revos from the states?

    lol
i had a wanker of a neighbour come outside last saturday at about 3pm and tell me "thats tiring, thats tiring thats tiring" i was like wtf... i didnt get what he meant i thought he meant i was getting tired chasing up n down after the nitro car.

then my dad who was in the front yard was probably like, he probably thinks its noisy.

i went up and told him the next time his sons on a pocket rocket motrbike that im gonna call the cops on them, and the next time his son does burn outs in our street im going to take a video and show the cops that shut him up and he went back inside.

do you guys use nitro vehicles in your street?

I have run with my friends nitro up and down the street doing jumps, at first the noise is annoying, then you get used to it, but when he has to refuel I realise how quiet it is with just my electric screaming. So quiet. He just bought an e-revo haha.

Certainly makes a difference!, I ordered my Loader around then as well, saved myself $2K! Just don't tell the fiance' that! :Paranoid:

Anyways I also have ordered a set of Lipos, and a couple of brushless setups for the LAV and the Alfa.
