    “In early-medieval times there was a small monks’ retreat on top of the Tor, founded probably in the time of St Patrick in the mid-400s. This was followed in the early 1100s by a chapel, St Michael de Torre. This was destroyed in a powerful earthquake in 1275 and rebuilt in the early 1300s. The tower is all that remains today.”

    Yeah the 3rd is my fav.

    There's an amazing amount of history over here, it's just insane. Every now and then I stop and think how old this county is compared to Aus, some walls have been standing for longer than white man even thought about Aus for christ sake!!

    When I look at these photos all I can think about is the Unreal Tournament CTF map called 'Facing Worlds'?
