    Thanks Ronald for great organization!
I think (hope) I'll receive the strobe tomorrow. Came today, but my intercom has issues, so I didn't hear the ring :/

Can't wait for c-stand offer. Gotta compare with what vanbar offers.

Gotta take care of your babies! I think a great rule of thumb is to spend 10% of the value of your gear on safe storage. I just need godox to drop the prices on their massive lighting coffin cases, I'm watching pricing on the CB-04.

Oh i have one of those from Fotogenic.
I don't recommend it as it's very poorly made.

The wheels at the base of the coffin is too small, so once you load your gear into it, the weight pushes the wheels down and they won't budge.
My solution was to cart the coffin around with an upright trolley.

The plastic zippers also exploded from stress after my fifth outing. :( It tore away from the lining so there was no fix.

It's also very bulky to load into a small car. It occupies the full length of the three seats of my hatch and I have to take all the gear out before loading it into the car which isn't ideal if you're thinking of taking the coffin on site.

Mate, that's exactly the same trolley i use for gigs! I really appreciate your feedback re: the CB04. I thought I could go cheap for that but now i realise i really gotta cough up $$ to safely transport my bulky lighting gear, which will be especially the case if we are lucky enough to get a c-stand bulk buy.

The safe case linked above from bunnings comfortably fits one of the AD600BM plus the battery and the bulb. You'll need to cut through two sheets of foam for the monobloc.

The foam is not the toughest foam out there but the hard shell should be sufficient protection for general storage and/or moving the lights on location.
If you want stronger foam I think Pelican or Clarks Rubber sells hardier foam and might even laser cut to specs for a fee.

The case isn't quite crush proof but the price is damn nice at $72.
I don't recommend throwing the case out the back of a truck though.

The Bunnings i went to have a lot of stock but you have to hunt for it (possibly on a top shelf) in the tools storage section because the staff are quite clueless.
Make sure you ask for "hand tools storage" or they'll point you to general warehousing/shelving/garage section.

There is another brand they stock that has a yellow coloured case and it's somewhat dearer than "Craftright".

Pretty happy the size I had left in my Pelican 1600 fits the unit perfectly!

Now just got to work out how to transport reflectors/softboxes and the remote head.
