So I always thought I would get the manual version, but then I watched this video:

    https://youtu.be/GBZgc74xdGw?t=8m22s

The bit where she is moving and using TTL to figure out exposure as she moves closer/away from light source. Thats pretty cool. (I know this is profoto, but its essentially the same thing)

What are people's thoughts on that?

Also, what light stand do people plan on using with it? If not using the extension, the light is 3Kg and say a 2kg octa its a bit of weight there (the heaviest light I've ever used is the AD360)

I'll put my interest in for a TTL version.

Could you possibly see what the cost would be for the Godox PB-600 soft-case?

This would be useful when using the external head - thanks

Elvis has just told me the Sony will work the same as the C/N with the AD600. It may have less groups though at this stage (3 instead of 5) but a firmware update should fix that I assume. I know this is different from your research so may only add to confusion. Maybe Email Godox directly ask on POTN where there are prob people who use it with Sony.

$13 AUD inc GST. Does not in shipping Int/domestic or any import fees

If there is enough interest in this, I will be happy to put it on the list

Don't really need TTL. I've got a AD360 during the last group by with MrDohc. Been great, but have been wanting one to work with a bigger octa/soft box. Also be needing a stand....

I've put myself down for one on the excel sheet, not sure if you need to edit. Would be interested in the extra head and softbox.

    Cool.

What type of trigger do you need?

What do you mean extra head?

Stand and softbox you will need to purchase outside of the group buy

    Thank you,

    Janaka

Well... now I am completely confused.... Um... how long do I have before this group buy is finished. I am seriously considering replacing all my Bowens lights with these.

No probs, Ill add you onto the list after work. Ill also find out about battery price and post back :)

Theres no time limit, we need to get numbers.

I might mention if we don't get the numbers and Godox don't want to do it if we don't meet with minimum order Elvis from FlashHavoc possibly sorted us a deal with an online retailer but that's all I can say for the moment.

    edit:
Spare battery is $130 inc GST not inc shipping etc at this stage and subject to FX changes

Also, I've asked about Sony TTL over at POTN.

The biggest attraction is no cables. Man that'll make my life easier at conventions.

I'll have to crunch some numbers when I get home.

    Ok Sony TTL

This is from a Sony user over at POTN after I asked the question:

Go to my website HERE it is the first of several pages I've written evaluating the Godox X system when used with the Sony Alpha series. I've also posted here with illustrations of how I've used the system for shoots.

Bottomline, this is a real solution that works.

And the website in question: http://www.davidmward.photography/knowledge/godox-x-system-summary/

And if you are a member at POTN and want to see this post:

Should have one non-forum person (Pete) wanting to go in on a TTL version and Canon X1 trigger.

    Edit: Updated the spreadsheet

Thanks. Can you ask him to sign up? Otherwise my correspondence with his must come through you, which makes it very difficult esp when working out addresses, payees and people paying their fair share of shipping etc.

(I organised the AA battery and Powerex charger group buy years ago and this was a huge issue for me - sorry)
