Hey all, so I've been using 7 for a while, before that win2k SP4 and before that Win95, and win95/3.11. Anyways, I was having issues trying to get NVME drive working with windows 7. Firstly i couldn't get it installed, then discovered things about signed and unsigned drivers which is just BS that caused so much frustration and i wanted to use the nvme drive as my bootable OS drive... So, i with much hesitation went to windows 10, and boy was i not happy, the bloated start menu which seems to have no rhyme or reason to it and the rearrangement of finding anything where it usually is in terms of configuring the computer. I got one of those programs to give me back my start menu and make things look like they should, classic windows shell ect: , to which i ask, why did they make things to unintuitive for existing windows users ? Anyways, after slipstreaming usb3.0 and NVME drivers into a windows 7 ISO image, then loading it onto a USB thumb/flash drive i installed windows 7 without issue. Everything now works as it should, nice quick things are where they should be and everything just works. My printer that refused to work with 10 now works once more ( oh my, finding that out, to scan and submit a uni assignment was not a fun time, i managed to get it sorted by using my laptop instead ) All i can say is using windows 10 was so much fucking around and headache of an experience I don't want windows 10 ever. So, who else went back to 7 from 10 and why ?
