My gf loves to take photos and has a decent camera with seperate lens and all the manual features however she is struggling to find a good all in one guide to using these features effectively.

Are there any good books/ebooks/wikis that list all of the advanced photography methods, eg which lens to use when, when/why to change exposure settings etc? Willing to pay if it is worth it. I realise all this info is available on wikipedia/google but I'm looking for something concise with everything in one location.

She experiments a lot and has a pretty good idea but wants to learn from an expert why certain settings work and when to use them so she doesn't have to take 15 photos to brute force the correct settings.

    Cheers

Bryan Peterson Understanding Exposure is pretty much the go to book for this. Everything you need in there.
