Works on my home minis and home hub

    Home app
    Account button
    Settings
    Assistant tab
    Contunued conversation

This should enable it for every home device. It shows you which ones it works for.

Good tip, certainly helps not having to say "ok google" for every single question. Will enable that tonight.

Anybody every encountered the Home shitting itself and not being able to recognize your voice?

I can dump the home and re-add and then join. Everything is good until my wife joins. It will recognize her but wont be able to verify my voice. If we do it in the other order my wife ends up in the same situation. Voice assistant works fine on phone and I can't seem to find this mythical verify voice match settings in the home app.

Home - Circle person silhouette icon bottom right - settings - assistant - voice match - invite others who use your devices - *choose comms type. It'll send them a link to g.co/voicematch. They follow the bouncing ball, and things should just work™.

Under Assistant, all I have is Languages, Continued Conversation, Home Control, My Day and Email updates. Nothing about voice match.

Voice match settings aren't available and I can't link to the Home... it just doesn't link; try to link and then nothing. I'm just going to factory reset it and wipe my Home app settings and start from scratch.

The last week mines not been as great either archie, running a Meraki MX blocking things here...
Our internet also sucks incredibly - slightest hint of rain and my loss rate is huge, and i get ping times that make satellite look good...so that could also be a contributing factor.
NBN will be here soon hopefully.

Much point in changed from the Home Mini to the Nest Mini if I don't listen to music on it much?

I guess one benefit is the extra microphone as sometimes in the bedroom I have a fan going and the Home Mini doesn't hear voice commands. So might be of benefit.

Just trying to find reasons to upgrade as I can get a couple of Nest Mini's for free through Telstra Rewards.

I mean.. I wouldn't spend my own money on it. Do you have a place to put the old ones or are you just going to move them along to someone else? Is there anything more useful you could get from telstra rewards?

Probably move them on as I can't really find a use for them.

Nothing really much that interests me or I need on Telstra Rewards, for 15K points. I could always just keep saving I guess.

Yeah bangin bass isn't what I'd bother upgrading for. I think I'll just stick with what I have and save my reward points.
