    Absolutely loving my Google Home!!

Having so much fun right now asking for jokes and random facts etc.

First day but so far so good for spotify.

Keen to get myself some Wifi Light Bulbs if anyone has any recommendations that aren't too expensive.

it all depends on your bulb fitting choice

I'm looking to potentially buy via amazon.co.uk as most of my house is downlights (gu10). Considering I need about 15-20 for the main living areas and outside, and another 4-6 for the bedrooms, the savings and choice will add up. Australia just doesn't have the choice of the UK.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_s...+light+gu10&rh=n:213077031,k:smart+light+gu10

What I'm thinking about getting is a phillips hue starter kit with gu10 downlights from australia. I'll put the two gu10's around the tv. Then I'll look at buying 20-25 lights for around the house using other brands like osram or innr etc.

I love mine! I love that it pairs with my CC Audio upstairs and I can have music playing all around the house.

All I need now is a nice-ish single container speaker for upstairs ($100 or so) that has AUX in.

Got one of these for Father's Day, had read about them and wouldn't have seen myself buying one.

    I like it. A lot.

Can call up any radio station, podcast, recipe, fact, joke etc. I can't wait to sort it with a CC as well and also start automating some lights etc.

It has gaps for sure but hopefully updates will improve it as will using it for an extended period.

Not sure how good a deal it is, but woolworths rewards sent me a deal where if I spend $70 a week at woolies for the next 4 weeks I'll get a free google home mini.

Hrm, I'd go for that. Wonder why I didn't get the offer.

Several people have mentioned that offer to me now, via email from woolies. I'll have to check with my folks, I think they have a woolies rewards card...

Disappointed the mini doesn't have a headphones/line out jack. But I guess that would cut into their chromecast audio sales.

You also get a Google Home Mini for free if you buy a new Google Pixel 2 (or XL) from Google store, or if you pre-order from Telstra. I'm planning on buying one outright when they're released and I'll be getting from Google to ensure the freebie (can only get the freebie on plan with Telstra, not outright sale).

I got the $155 for 2 weeks offer at woolies.

I shopped yesterday the first amount and forgot my card :(
Seems the offer cant be applied if you have only the receipt.

But I shopped today the amount and remembered my card so I'll do my week 2 shop next week.

So in the end I'm spending more at woollies than anticipated but I'm really stocking up so I don't need to do any shopping over December apart from fresh veggies.

So I'ts not like I'm buying crap just for the sake the Google Home I'm buying to stock up and to get a home as a bonus.

So what should I get for my week 2 shop as I was struggling to make today's one after spending 300 in 2 days there hmmm.

More seafood for a start, canned ham beetroot etc.
Water filters I can get that will be a nice chunk off the next shop.

I got the same offer, One of the things we actually need is Olive Oil, and we normally buy the bulk containers, so thats a good $20-30

Do you have a good freezer, could get meat\frozen veges etc

Did my second shop my docket says I have earned my gift and it'll be sent to my nominated address, so all I need to do now is wait.

Got mine about 10 minutes ago about.

Came with a card that Woolworths has home integration and you say 'woolies' to the home.

    I'll post up photos soon.

    Update: some pics

The home is the retail box packaged in another box with the Woolworths packing slip and leaflet placed inside.
So the home isn't customised by woolies at all.
