Edit: Was playing music last night and this morning over bluetooth though. As well as steam running all morning. And a few calls.

Ah okay. So basically the answer would be yes, since you need root, so updating android = reroot + redo kernel.

I shall consider it, it's not like we get new versions of android every month or anything :).

Correct, you do need to flash the new version each time there is a new android version and as said, the app makes it really easy. Once you've installed the kernel manually the first time it's as simple as opening the app, tapping "download and flash" then your phone reboots and it's updated the kernel. No data loss or anything. He's done a really good job of that.

Has anyone come across an NFC tag on a clip?

I want to clip one to my trouser pocket so when I pull out my phone it automatically unlocks

Gotta agree on the battery side of things. Two days easy now - I'm at 68% after 22.5 hours with 1hr50 off voice calls !

I remember 'pdroid' did the permission thing, root required of course....

Thing that I care about for battery life is screen time. Kombiman, how much screen time did you get with that charge?

I've noticed with the official CM10.2 nightly, my battery is much better. I'm currently at 70% with just under 1hr screen time after 9 hours. With the unofficial's, I was getting around 16 hours with around 1.5hours screen time.

Unfortunately the price for those chargers went back up to $19. Glad I grabbed 3 of them when I did.
