Got 5.0.1 on telstra awhile ago.
Mine only just became available. AND IT DIDN'T EVEN WORK!
It downloaded. Did the whole install thing... Rebooted... And nothing... lol
Installed mine and i loving it.
Mines having another crack at it... Downloading it again... ;(
5.0.1 re-released on Optus network just now for those who are still on 4.4.4 like me. I'll install it tomorrow during off-peak time. Starting to get close to my download limit for the month.
Fuck you Google..
I'm with Telstra and have been waiting for version 5 since forever.
I had an issue with my SIM card, and my replacement phone arrived today.
What do you know, in the last 30mins, my old phone told me OS 5.01 is available.
The new phone is only 4.4.3 and will update to 4.4.4!!!
Hahaha. It keeps telling me the update is available. I download. It says it's installing... It doesn't install..
It does the whole install thing, it reboots the phone... But then, I check version, and it's still running 4.4.4... I don't get it... Is there something I'm doing wrong?
So it decided to actually install... But... Now... It's stuck on an 'Error' screen... No error code...
Lol. Your getting screwed
Yes I am. lol
Doing a full reformat now...
I thought I had it bad. I'm now using 5.0.1 and its not too bad. Some small changes but most annoying is unlocking your phone has a extra step
Can't get the update to work...
Keeps telling me error and it keeps failing...
I find my phone gets quite sluggish after a while, needs a reboot and it sorts itself out again... Apps randomly close (no error, just close) keyboard will disappear mid typing, random shit like that...
That's the memory leak issue in Android L that's apparently going to be fixed soon. In the meantime make sure to reboot you're phone every second day or so and you won't have a problem.
Hey buddy, where did you get the screen and frame combo from? I ordered the screen, but have had to remove the shattered old screen from the frame... NIGHTMARE. Made even worse by the fact that my screen was seriously shattered... The adhesive on the top and bottom is a force to be recond with.
Updated to 5.0.1 via OTA early last night to find I too are having issues with the wifi. In particular, passwords from hotspots are not being saved after I have turned the wifi off or turned the phone off. Have yet to experience any drop-outs as mentioned in other people's experiences.
Can anyone recommend a Bluetooth to AUX/3.5mm adapter? I wanna get one for my car and to test on my amp/speakers.
Just updated to 5.0.1 and so far I'm really liking it!
Definitely prefer the notifications menu over 4.4.4. Having a shortcut for screen rotation is amazing.
I do however have 2 (duplicate) "photos" apps now. Any idea of how I can remove one of them?
Other than that, have had no issues and the battery saver is very helpful.
I hve an older version of this connected to my home theatre for streaming music at home. Wont work in the car though unless you can find an appropriate power adapter.
Earg since Telstra approved the nexus 5 device update everyone updated over the weekend and it wipes active sync accounts.. plus it stuff sms too..
