Yep been running it for a couple of days. Basically the exact same OS haha. Only a few minor changes.

Really liking the battery optimisation and "Doze" feature. Saves a truck load of battery.

Looking forward to putting the new battery in and seeing how well it runs.

Welp, my N5 died. It thinks the power button is stuck down (physically looks/feels fine) so it won't boot up. RMA approved in 20 minutes and replacement shipped in 13 hours.

Hope they don't notice or care I've already replaced the battery (at least it was a genuine battery)

How does one organise a genuine battery replacement? Just your local dealer?

I bought one from eBay for $18 delivered. Replacing it looks easy enough !

I bought 2 "genuine" batteries and they were both utter shite. The original that had bulged to almost twice its size had the same run time as the eBay oems.

Got the marshmallow OTA this morning, installed no problems. Can barely notice any real difference from 5. Google Now on Tap seems mildly useful so far, quick and easy way to perform google searches which i can see being useful

So were they actually genuine or were they genuinely shit  ?

Any tips? My friend told me I have to be careful with the back cover as the clips can snap off easily.

All this talk about new phones must be making my phone sad.... Since yesterday have been doing the heat up like crazy and then crash then don't boot for an hour cycle.

Called support and got a rma... Looks like I'll be getting aa replacement.

Mine did that last week. it will turn on, but constantly restarts, google logo comes up for a second, restart. Received a refurb replacement a week later, it did the exact same thing once updated to 5.1.1. (not sure if that's the cause or just a coincidence)

Heres hoping the replacement replacement is good!

Take your time but no issues here. Trickiest bit was getting the original battery out. It's stuck down hard, and snapped one of the supplied tools trying to lever it out.

Bugger! I'm using a Lumia 532 as an interim. The apps on WinMo still suck.

the OTA seems to be rolling out on Optus.

Doze has fixed the battery leaking on idle.

Just got the OTA, running pretty well atm, thought there mite be alittle more change but not really. Phone does seem a tad snappier..and the wifi is working better, so no complaints.
