Murphy's law, yep! No one will be there though. Going to leave it at reception at work, so if they don't turn up in 9-5 they won't have any luck.

My 6.0 update notification is showing... I am mixed between updating yet or not... read some random articles with some horror stories...

Most people posting here seem to say it's fine though... hrmmm, decisions...

Maybe I do need a Nexus 5X

The update is fine for me. But, I need a new battery soon. Sucks. Not sure what to do now.

    It's fine, go for it.

I just changed my battery tonight, easy job, but I broke two clips in the process lol. Back plate still sits on fine though.

Bit the bullet last night and updated - noticed my weather widget was refreshing every half second or so - so I wiped all my widgets and then added them back again.

Haven't noticed any other issues... WiFi is fine, Bluetooth is fine, battery drain seems fine, etc.

Did anyone that replaced their batteries have shitter life time on their phones over the stock one ?

I've noticed my battery now drains insanely fast.

Do I need to let is adjust for a few days or something coz its a new battery?

As i've mentioned a few times in this thread it seems that almost every aftermarket/ "genuine" battery is a POS. My bulging (amost 3 times the original thickness) oem battery had similar performance as the aftermarket batteries. Ended up RMA'ing the phone for other reasons.

Second replacement arrived, looks like a brand new one (still had the nexus screen and camera protector, the early model rattly camera) arrived with 5.1.1 , and received 6.0 a few days ago. so far so good.
the third party middle man RMA mob they use for returning the phones was a bit of a horses arse, but once i spoke to someone at google/toll it was sorted quickly

I have the MM Wifi BUG this is why the battery seems super poor. Turned off wifi scanning for now.

got mine last week.. a bit of stuffing about with delivery notices having no tracking info.. Google / Toll. both hopeless for me.

Replacement seems to be chewing through battery just as much as the last one.. have upgraded to 6.0 as well..

My work S5 have much better battery life still.

Snapchat and its location service was killing battery life for me initially (even when having snapchat and the phones location turned off). I wouldn't even get to midday. Seems fine now i uninstalled and re-installed it a few weeks later.

So I'm having that reception issue with Telstra again...

Where my phone says 4G and connected yet I can't use data, calls, or SMS.

Only way to get around it is airplane mode on and off.

Do you void warranty by opening the back cover (and subsequently changing the battery) ?.

Been having battery issues for the past few months. Battery will shut off even with 40%~55% showing on the indicator. Doing anything drained the battery VERY quickly.

Decided to buy a battery off fleaBay and replaced it three days ago. Phone lasts as long as it did when I got it new. It's given my nexus5 new life. Quite pleased (for now).

And "yes" Danske, it will void your warranty.

Mine has been doing this a while, only just clicked that the airplane on/off was resolving it. Annoying as first phone I haven't dropped or done damage to and still only lasted 1.5yrs.

Excuse to swap over to a 5X maybe?

    I figured it would .

I have no idea what the fix to this is other than requesting for a replacement from google.

I swapped to the 5X, and I've had nothing but dramas. I wouldn't recommend the 5X to anyone until Google have sorted the performance issues. The thing just grinds to a halt.
