I had a FedEx card waiting for me this afternoon. I'll pick it up from their depot after work tomorrow. Can't wait!

Last time AAE did that to me I went to Aus Post the same afternoon and picked up my parcel. Just cant remember 100% if the card specified next business day pick up or not. In any case, too late for you, bad luck man :(

That's what it says on the site but, surprisingly, my order is already on its way. I had ordered the 16gb model two days ago (Saturday) and I received a notification today that it has been shipped via Fedex. The only downside is that I have to wait an extra day for it to be delivered because my Nexus 7 was picked up by Fedex after the cutoff for today - "Package received after FedEx cutoff". So I'm very much looking forward to Wednesday. :)

How do you customise Google now?

Seems like it is situational rather than customisable.

Settings can be found in the menu at the bottom right.

I think the idea is to be situational

Oh well, pretty much makes it useless 99% of the time. Can't get it to display what you want when you want it.

Think I might grab one now they are starting to hit the shops...
Will try the local EB Games or JBHIFI in Adelaide...

Don't really think it will stay stock long...like to see what decent ROM's are out and about...

Sounds like everyone is happy with it overall.

Lol had like a 10 minute discussion about my N7 with two randoms on the tram today, they were excited as seeing it in the flesh. One of the guys bought one of his kids so they can study and play games on it. Great idea imo, kids can totally hold this thing.

    You can, kinda.

Search for cafes enough and it'll show you good ones nearby.

I think it needs to learn off you a bit. Mine is basically Traffic and Weather. And sometimes tells me a hotel in the CBD, im a bit like wtf?

These seem to be insane value; wish there was a 10 inch screen option though :(

Got mine last night and it is sweet, this morning though on the train I had the brightness to manual and on the lowest. Noticed that the backlight flickered a bit, is this the same issue your dad's one has?

If so let me know how you go speaking to support.

So after people have had a chance to play with one, what are there thoughts on using this for work, or a diary?

It is definitely the right size for a planner/diary. Provided you can find an app that suits your needs, it would be pretty good for work.

    my issue was like this.

if its the same as that, then yes. definitely call support!

I did end up speaking to support after waiting for 30 mins on hold
I told him what i was experiencing and he said yep no problem.
So he has forwarded it to the people who deal with the issues and when they get to me (seems to be a long line, guy said should be a couple days) they will ship me overnight a new one as well as an rma slip so i can ship the old one back!
