I plan on getting the pixel 2 (Smaller one) but i'm a bit underwhelmed by how much bezel appears to be there :upset:

Got a 7 plus at the moment, it's just too big!

Looks like a half arsed iPhone.

No audio jack. Better get used to dongles.

XL2 much better looking than the XL from the leaks.. Thinner bezel on top with the front firing stereo speakers.

Looks promising, especially the larger one, let's hope availability pans out

Hmm, I am torn, 6" is too big, 5" is currently a bit smaller than my Xperia...what do?! Suspect I will aim for the 5" model as it doesn't make any other hardware sacrifices...do I care about no headphone jack? I still don't know...

I'm not likely to buy a phone without a 3.5mm audio jack.

Google phones always sound excellent on paper, but when it comes to using them, they're not up to scratch (IMO)

after grabbing a One Plus 3T for the mrs off the forums here the Pixel just doesn't appeal to me. The One Plus is SUCH a good device. I'm seriously considering a One Plus for myself now.

Yeah and tbh I was a bit down on the 12 hour battery life still, thought it'd be better.

I had a friend rave about this... as long as they aren't huge I might be swayed as well

Will have to at some stage though :upset:

I'm only really enticed by the ability to upload unlimited photos (regardless of size). Otherwise I'm not that impressed...

Is there somewhere which discusses the reasons why phones are ditching the audio jacks?

    This is awesome

Like most of Google's launch days, the best stuff is in the OS and not the device itself.

The headphone and camera search will be awesome

I'm the same, and my headphones last many years and are used infrequently and randomly. Wireless headphones almost need to be planned for. YUCK.

I hate things that are rechargeable that I rarely use - because fuck proprietary batteries.

It's one of the big reasons I prefer the XB1 controller over the PS4, AA batteries over inbuilt battery any day.

Yeah but the DS4 is such a nice controller to use...I also prefer the D-pad of it over the XB1's.

You can use the headphone jack converter for wired headphones?

    Must be an OzBargainer! :p

Definitely no to dongles! Have found myself watching things and needing to charge the phone simultaneously heaps of times.

Here here!!! Fuck dongles they can all go to hell!

Still we all know that in 4-5 years only a hand full of phones will still have 3.5mm jacks lol

You can choose to be ignorant or just succumb to the inevitable.

if it is inevitable it's a loss overall.

I currently plug my 3.5mm headphones into 5 devices - let's see you do that with your wireless headphones.
