You must be thinking of a different phone, the Pixel has really great build lol. The screen flexes out yep, less than the iPhone 7, and bending from the screen did literally nothing. He then says it's the most sturdiest phone he's tested.

I also hate watching these videos, it's like a waste of precious resources and technology. Also I'm not usually a person that links these and says "SEE IT BENT" of course it'll bloody bend if you're trying to fold it in half haha.

Compare that to the 6p haha.

I can't answer the first part, but in answer to run flat - the batteries in modern phones never actually reach total flatness and there is always extra to prevent exactly that as a protection mechanism

Unless you always need to fast charge for example because you're going out later then I would use fast charge but for nightly charging I would consider using a regular 1 amp charger... whether the fast charge actually damages batteries by charging them too quickly is still undetermined but there are theories the batteries that are fast charged deteriorate quicker

Have had a 128gb 5" Pixel for a few days now. Overall i'm quite impressed. My previous phone was a Z3 Compact. The Pixel is lightning fast at everything, the screen is sharp and bright, the speaker is loud enough to hear in the shower and it seems to take a great pic. I'm by no means a photography guy, being red/green colour blind doesn't help, but these look good to me. Battery life isn't as a good as the Z3, but that thing gave me 3 days when new and was still nearly a 2 day phone at 2 years old.

A few pics from my mountain bike ride today. I don't know if Flickr does any processing once they're uploaded.

Hey, a fellow Kona and Pixel owner!
I've got the Kona Process 153 DL myself, amazing bikes.

Well... I somehow justified getting a Pixel XL.

Just finished setting it up. I'm interested to see if reception is any better and how well the battery goes with no reception.

Anyone know if the Pixel XL fits into a typical car cup holder?

    My 6p doesn't.

Fits into the ones of a Mitsubishi ASX, the width of the Pixel XL is about 3mm less than the 6P.

Anyone else with a Pixel 5''?

I'd like to hear what you think about it's battery. So far, I think it's pretty average, it doesn't last 24 hours, no where near it.

So far for me it's lasted from morning to evening, evening is at the ~20% mark, so I basically have to charge it, I can't really rely on not having a charger at work (which I'm okay with since I'm used to it, but I would have liked a phone to last over a day lol).

I don't think it's any rogue apps, but I might try culling all apps and see how it goes. On the plus side, rapid charging is flipping amazing.

    Not the XL.

What's the screen on time before the battery is dead.

4hrs on average is what most phones aim for these days.

5" here. I charged mine Saturday night before bed. Yesterday I didn't make calls, but I had Strava on for a ride, took some pics, listened to music for a few hours, watched some youtube, mucked about with settings etc and this morning it was at 40%. I chewed up that 40% quickly looking for and trying out video editors.

So, question, what does everyone use for quick easy video editing? The Sony had a great app with easy timeline editing. All I really want is trimming and adding slowmo to sections of video. Anything more advanced i'd rather use the PC.

Hmm so it went a full day + night and still had 40% juice left. I must be doing something wrong lol.

I just checked the standard editing for videos in Photos, and you can do the normal trimming, but couldn't see a add slowmo. Although you can record in slowmo (which is awesome).

The stock photo app lets you trim videos and when you record in slowmo, you can adjust when the slowmo starts and ends

Mine is 2015 134DL, love it, great trail bike.

    Thanks for that.

For existing videos, I found Cyberlink's Action Director. It's easy to use, leaves a small watermark which is only $4 to remove.
