No idea what section this should be in. But anyway, here goes..

    Report + Vid is here

Now all I can say is, that is cool! But I wonder if it will actually take off? I mean personally if these things work well, I can see them replacing my phone.

Excellent. They'll be able to track where you are and what you're looking at now.

If only this tech was brought out by anyone except google, I'd be excited, not worried.

Now if they invented glasses that can see through woman's bikini's on the beach that would be a real interesting invention.
    Might be in the future.:p

I think it's kind of funny and sad that valid privacy concerns are now met with such hostility and ridicule. How will I know I'm being filmed or photographed by these things?

I don't wish to be tracked by a company I don't trust. Why is this a problem again?

    why would you care?
are you a thief or a pedo? :Paranoid:

:p not having a go mate, but there's not much point in being worried about it. its not going to stop anything, big companies collect information about the masses so they can make pie graphs to show the boss in mondays meeting...ppl are too worried about their perceived lack of "privacy" it doesn't exist ppl, (nor do your "rights" for that matter..but i digress) the only time u get it is on the crapper, and only then if your lucky and live alone!
you are constantly being tracked and filmed by 100s of corporations a day..at least google offer you something in return

So that makes my concerns less legitimate? Do you think I'm happy with that situation?

Who cares, none of us are special snowflakes that some google person is watching on the screen individually as we go about our lives. It's general data to attempt to target marketing at us. You can't escape it unless you live in the bush and eat baked beans so why freak out about it?

I'm flabbergasted at your nonchalance about privacy.

In your own words, only pedos and thieves should be worried about privacy? Are you saying that privacy should be taken away to "protect" us all from these evils of society, trying to stay un-noticed and un-monitored?

I'm flabbergasted at your baseless indignation towards one company when 100s of others are doing the same thing to you daily, with and without our consent..
    pick your battles ;)

Then why does it matter if it's Google or any other company? You said and I quote

Every major company does it, so why are you worried that it's Google and not excited?

Seriously what company do you think would be able to get all this information about you and not use it to their advantage?

Apple, Microsoft and Google (Android) all have ways to track you via your phone.

So would you not get this technology of any of them either?

Cool so when you said if it was anyone except Google you really meant if it was anyone apart from CSIRO I would be worried and not excited.

Also they did that WALDS thing right?
