What breed is Rufus? Sad you have to get rid of one of them, but totally understand your predicament.

Haven't posted in here for a few years...

This is our boy Heston, who's now 7. We've managed to shed about 4kgs off of him over the past 12 months as he was sitting close to 30kg.

He's starting to lose a lot of his fawn colour around the face and turning white as an old man :p

Gotta be honest, I was never much of a fan of jowly pug-nosed breeds... but he's a handsome & cute dog. Looking pretty fit for 7 too.
    Do bulldogs drool much?
I've been converted to loving big dumb mutts after living with a Bullmastiff/Boerboel pair and would love to own one. But the drool was a bit excessive.
Thinking a Bulldog could be a good alternative if there's less slime to deal with...

He's a drool machine. One of the reasons i don't want another. They have amazing personalities and are quite independent, well at least ours is. We compare him more like a cat than your traditional dog.

Lol, yeah, I thought so. Drool towels at the ready! But personality makes you forgive a thousand stains.
    Thanks for the advice.

Are Bulldogs fart machines? I know Rotties can drop a mean fart, and (speaking from experience) Labs definitely can too.

Generally yes, and Heston used to be shocking. However we feed him good quality dry food and green beans and he's much better these days.

Many Mastiff breeds are the same. Often leaking from both ends, so to speak.
Depends a lot on diet of course.
