still only like rank 17 but enjoying myself
gemtech on social, im in the ocau group too
Anyone had the game crash to desktop with this error message "ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT". Google says a few things like the swap space config which didn't help, nor did setting the exe's to admin. Should add this is in online only, haven't done more than 20mins SP and each time (twice) was random in time played or what was going on.
What seems to have sorted it was going from DX11 to 10.1 in the game but performance has taken a fair hit. I have all default settings other than 1920x1080 res.
Running i5 2500, 3Gb GTX580 & 8GB RAM, Win7, all updates and latest nvidia drivers which I figured would be ok.
Could someone please PM me the teamspeak password?
I asked on the social club but haven't gotten a response.
It's been posted a few times.
Got it.. who searches or reads the OP anyway
Anyone know of a decent gaming headset with a Mic?
I have been running the Zalman ZM-MIC for the past 10 years cheap and good quality then you can get whatever headsets you want. I run Audio technica ATH-AD700's but there are newer versions with boom mic's also.
Buy from here
HyperX Cloud headset is freakin amazing value for money. I'm in love with mine, they are sooooo comfy and that is a huge selling point for me.
i had that issue too, especially on the first night it crashed heaps. there were some windows updates around that time and that's what seems to have fixed it for me.
the biggest issue i'm having now is that i can't get one of my cars back, it always says all the mors mutual operators are busy. it's been doing this for days though
downloading patch now....i wonder what it fixes?
Hmm, so i got the prison break done last night, but i dunno if my invites were broken, but noone from OCAU was accepting or online..
The update fixed my mouse lag So relieved! Did not expect it to get fixed in 3 days. Must have been the launcher using lots of CPU, anyone else have the floaty mouse feeling fixed by the update? Runs smoother too
even downloading via steam will cause my game to stutter and the CPU usage goes up!
Updating now... time to smash chicks in the face.
So over the heists. I've spent 4 hours this morning piloting on the prison break heist, which is an extremely boring role. After many failed attempts, we're about to finally complete the heist, all that is left to do is parachute to the beach, and some idiot decides not to pull the cord on the parachute, we fail the heist, and the piece of shit disconnects. That has to be the most committed trolling effort I've ever seen.
So nice to be able to steam stream this GTX980 performance on a 560Ti, lol.
Well the upgrade from 6gb 1333 to 16gb 1600 has all but rectified my stutter issue. Needed it for the Witcher 3 anyway.
Had a similar thing happen a few nights ago with mcunit from here. Except he didnt land on the beach and drowned cause he didnt know how to swim
was a pretty /facepalm moment
Windows upto date, only use security essentials which is never invasive from an AV perspective, latest nvidia drivers. Will have to keep playing around with settings, hopefully someone else comes up with an answer eventually.
I had the game grind to a halt thismorning applying the Windows AV update in Windows 10.
The other thing i found was using the Nvidia specific setting for Shadows made my game crash every 30 minutes or so. Set the Shadows back to "softest" and have not had any more issues.
