Great deal on ebay for a mini-ITX

    You had me interested until I saw that only 8 were SATA III ports.
    Any idea how mixing 3Gbps and 6Gbps SATA ports will affect ZFS performance? Surely have some disks slower than others can't be a good thing!

    EDIT: I'm looking for a 10+ SATA III Mini ITX board... so very close!

    no idea, but FWIW theres various posts in the Freenas forums confirming it all works hunky dory.

    My faithful 4 bay qnap is running out of room and I don't want to chuck 4Tb consumer grade 10^14 error rate drives in a straight up RAID5, so you can see where this is going....

    Is it just me or are none of the many SATA avoton boards available from local retailers? Can only find them on fleabay....
    green light from the minister of finance. 'why are we out of room? well you wanted that 60Gb of friends re-runs..... ' LOL

    Looks like the motherboard in my steamos box (asrock h61m-itx) abruptly died and I've finally got around to confirming its death. Fortunately it's not taken out any of its counterparts and died a solo death. Just ordered a replacement, it'll be here in a couple of weeks.
