I reckon if they are going to go to the trouble of installing them then they should make the deli staff mimic the alarm every time it goes off.

Until stores limit number of transactions this will keep happening. It's all good and well for them to put out feel good announcements that they are looking after the population by putting limits in place but they are not stopping people from returning to each store or store hopping. Obviously it's more difficult to trace cash purchases but stores could do a shitload more to limit what people are overbuying, but why would they when they only have to be seen doing partially the right thing.

I think heaps of Australians must have bowel problems or eat poor food... must go 4 times a day instead of 1 or 2 and use freakin' handfuls of bog roll at a time.

Nah it's less drastic than that. Its going to be the worst year 12 muck up day the country has seen, instead of TP-ing the schools they are going to TP the entire country.

Things must be tough when even Aldi is running out of toilet paper.

Wonder how bunnings are going with their super large rolls.

Was just at my local Woolworths, and was speaking to the lady at the deli section. She said this time, lot of people have been buying salami. Like, they’ve cleaned out the deli section of salami

Local Coles worker just told my mum that Coles in Vic (especially regional areas) are short on deliveries of many items right now because the distribution centre has the majority of their drivers been forced into isolation. No idea how close to the truth that is but Coles is relatively empty of stock while Woolies is not.
