    i also miscalculated swong's order and he owes me a little more (please check your PM) - but this wont delay me doing the group purchase and sending it out

    I would be interested in 4 x 4 packs if we get permission from Agg.

    How do they compare to eneloops?

    for those interested, ive PMed him and waiting on response.

    better

    you can get eneloops there too (16 pack for like 34USD) if you want eneloops instead that should be fine - just gotta buy heaps of whatever there so shipping is reduced

    Yeah I want the 16 pack of eneloops too... I just bought two chargers with 4 AA's from catch of the day the other week, but I'd like another set for my 3rd flash, and extra sets for backups too :)

    the more people we get the better, shipping is not cheap (check yourself). theres also the problem of everyone being around australia - how should we deal with that?

    Wait for approval

    Most of the time you have to have a designated person where the whole package gets sent, then they distribute around.

    Unless you talk to the disti, and they ship to someone designated in each major city.

    Dont go jumping the gun tho, wait for approval and then perhaps start up a thread with full details once nutted them out otherwise it can get messy.

    It gets shipped to you, you then buy some bulk pack 500g pre-paid satchels and ship to everyone. I dont see why agg wouldnt approve it, in that its no different to any other group buy ever done. Only thing i can see against it is that im farely sure the owner of pro tog is actually a member of these forums now.

    edit:

    just doing some basic sums:

    30 = 14.60 each
    60 = 13.80 each
    90 = 13.50 each

    that includes exchange rate and postage.

    When bought in amounts of 10 or more 500g postpacks are $5.50, or $7.56 for express which gets tracking.

    I just weighed my rechargable ones and they came in at 120g with the case.. probably safe to assume these good ones weigh at least 150g so could only fit 3 per pack. more would require a 3kg bag which is $9.27 for normal and $10.53 for express.

    Probably worthwhile asking Jeff From Pro Tog/Servaas whether they would be up for a Bulk buy also ??

    One can never have enough AAs if you have Photography and/or Kids
