Anyone know a fix please?
Have you tried just one 2080ti?
IIRC GTA V has always had issues with SLI and stuttering and the solution has been to disable SLI for it.
SLI/NVLINK these days is good for 2 things.. benchmarks and the 5% of games that support it well. (well being key word, some games support it but barely any use)
If it was me id sell the second while it has value and get 3080ti next July.
a single gpu solution is good enough.
i can never remember if you game at 4k.
if you're at 1440p a single 2080ti is more then enough. but as others have mentioned 90% of the time its an SLI thing, disable SLI and see if it goes away would be a simple place to start.
i'm hoping one of the GPU manufactures drops something great just before cyberpunk so i can go back to a single card setup
5120 x 1440
GTA V is listed as SLI NVLink supported...
Yeah it supports SLI... doesn't mean it works well with it.
You're quite likely hitting the engine FPS cap (187.5fps), GTA V is notorious for having major stutter issues when you hit this fps. disabling a card may help as suggested, as will limiting your fps in some way. So assuming you have say a 144hz monitor or less, setting adaptive v sync or v sync on in nvidia control panel should limit the fps so it's always below the cap.
I am at approx 70fps but usually hit 40fps?
Disable one card, problem solved. One 2080ti will smash GTA V
I don't want to disable one card.
I would like to get it working with both cards, NV Link works in GTA V VERY WELL.
I'd like to see frame times though. Maybe he has stutter too?
I found manually adjusting settings in the nvid control panel worked much better than standard settings. More import if running more than one monitor, worse if using a surround monitor system. I eventually used a 3rd party app to force resolutions during gaming and normal use.
Why don't you want to disable one card?
I get 60FPS in 4k with 1080Ti you're being silly. Just turn one off... it will run fine.
The mere fact that most of you geeks/nerds don't understand, or prefer to use caveman logic ie. disable one card, is the more serious issue at hand.
Would you like us to re-code the game to use SLI properly then?
If you bought 2x 2080Ti to actually use in gaming you are the idiot, because it's well known that doesn't work in 2019!
rage engine games just aint well optimized breh mp3 was the only decent 1
Samsung 49" 5120 x 1440 120Hz single monitor
2 x 2080ti
The machine is speccd enough, I will record a video now.
