i think you'll be limited to 1440p except for some very decently optimised games like BF1 (or turning a heap of the settings down)

Ok :) I guess still better than 1080P. Is running 1440P on a native 4K monitor acceptable ?

    Hi guys,

Happy to report I’m over 2000 for core even with 100% power.

Ok thanks. I prefer to have 100+ FPS looking a tad soft in 1440P on a 4k monitor vs 50 FPS in 4k :)

By the way is boost clock the one to look at while gaming ? That is the effective clock speed ?

just be mindful that overclock might not last very long and require constant tweaking

to be brutally honest if your gpu has any weak points its gonna come out in overclocking, mine didnt die till around a year after i had it and only overclocked it for around a month or two in total, performance gains where insane but long term reliability suffered greatly, i think its one of the ram modules got too hot (even tho i never oc'd it weirdly enough) and thats the source of my problems so i underclocked ram a tad -50 but overclocking core to make up for it at 1080p doesnt reaally make a huge difference.

Can't speak on behalf of Galax, but I am a bit surprised by nope's statement re: gigabyte and rma. I agree they (GB) were not particularly helpful with some initial hiccups with my laptop I got from them, but they were very quick to offer a pick up/fix/replace solution - this just wasn't the best outcome in my situation. From what I have heard Galax have improved their support, but this is mainly based on off hand comments rather than personal experience.

MSY have been fined heavily for their warranty shenanigans in the past so they should be fine for returns. My local MSY store bends over backwards to help these days.

Galax are good, well built cards though IMO despite them being cheaper than other brands.
