    Hey guys,

I've had a 1080 founders edition since they came out, and today I've bought a Galax OC card to run SLI. I'm using the ribbon style SLI bridge that came with my Maximus VIII Hero, and my graphics performance in games is worse than on a single card. Tried PUBG and Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Drivers are all up to date, I've run Guru3D's display driver uninstaller and done a clean install but no luck. Any ideas?

Yep, single card also runs fine. Tried all the stuff I can think of but still runs like crap.

I tested 2x Titan Xp in Sli earlier this year, benchmark results were awesome but BF1 gained absolutely nothing ... Are other people getting gains in PUBG with sli?

Do your benchmark results respond to enabling Ali?

    :)

Hey dude, haven't tried yet but getting weird artifacting in PUBG on the menu (game runs fine but FPS is crap), and Deus Ex runs at about 13fps... Could it be the small ribbon SLI cable I'm using? It only connects to one SLI connector per card.

I just had another terrible thought. Will a HX750i be enough to run these cards and a 6700K?

Nah man not likely unless its faulty, one connector should be fine.

if you see the norm increase in Firestrike, then it's just games and shit SLI profiling, maybe try forced alternate rendering modes.

Okay, I've just got home from the better half's place, pulled out the Founders card and tested the Galax one. Works fine. The Founders also works fine on its own.

As soon as I run them in SLI, I get weird artifacting and framerate drops in PUBG. Is this a PSU issue (HX750i, 750w), or a SLI bridge issue?

Please OCAU, I need your help!

Fair call dude, I'm selling the Founders card, then grabbing another Galax OC one and at that point I'll trade out the HX750i for a HX1000i so I don't have to redo all my cabling haha.

My Sli gtx 1080's works fine with PUBG. I'm getting 70-90% GPU utilisation @4k.

IF your PSU is running out of power you expect black screens not artifacts.

750W should be enough esp with such a low powered CPU.

    Can you run furmark ok?

Just sounds like nvidia high quality drivers to me. ;)

It could be related to the sli cable, could be faulty
Maybe look at a high-bandwidth SLI bridge like the Aorus ones from us?

Yeah I'm going to do that, current issue is my two cards are different heights. Will be looking at swapping to a solid bridge once I get another Galax card!

Got another Galax card and an Asus HB bridge, same thing. As soon as a game is running my FPS tanks to about 13-14, and if I alt tab out Windows runs at the same speed, so firefox is jittery etc.

Also mobo is a Maximus VIII Hero Alpha, so the top slot is 16x/8x, the other slot is 8x...

Alright, everything runs significantly worse in SLI, including Battlefield 1... Do I just sell my almost brand new cards and buy a 1080ti, or can I get SLI to give me the performance boost I was hoping for?
