log out & back into xbox app on pc
Can't wait to play this, downloaded it on pre-order while it was on sale in the MS Store. Keen af!
Can't remap J key.
Always nice to be left handed when games have hard-coded keys.
Try a controller?
I can do that, or use AutoHotKey, but I don't understand why it keeps happening. The Outer Worlds had hard-coded keys too.
I'm not a developer, but is it something that is hard to do (rebind all keys)?
Yeah maybe there's a reason for it but who knows it's a bit strange if they let you rebind keys to exclude a specific key
feel a bit dudded that the Reach remaster is a DLC for the MCC on XB1
Meh for the price all these games is fine, on PC... on STEAM! when MS has their own store.
A huge win for PC gaming.
A lot of people have bugs, the only thing for me is the sound is strange. Sometimes a nearby object sounds far away and vice-versa.
Well, seeing as we used to be able to re-bind keys back in the 80's, I can't imagine it'd be too huge of an issue...
So I found this to be somewhat BS.
Last night I decided to play my 1st multiplayer game. I did a 8v8 casual "first team to 100" game... and 2 people from enemy team camped my team's spawn point with 1 tank each... we could barely leave our spawn point. Sure, it was just a casual match, but COME ON!
yep this sounds exactly like halo. people used to do it back in the day on xboxlive, infuriating yes.. but authentic.
Only way I could get this to work was to upgrade Win10 to the 1909 was on 1803
im running 1803 without issue. (hell I cant update even if i wanted to, completely broke windows update after it installed 1803)
i was on 1803 because 1903 completely fucked with the nvidia 1070's power management modes as it would default to prefer max performance and therefore make the fans spin up. thankfully 1909 doesn't do this.
How is that possible? The Xbox desktop client requires 1903.
... or are you running it through Steam?
I am surprised that no one has touched this thread.
Halo 2 came out the other day and I decided to finish Halo 1 out of some sort of begrudging dedication. Single player Halo 1 is still average, some of the outdoor sections are quite fun (especially when you get the warthog) but holy fuck the indoor sections are more repetitive than I remember - and I remember be bored to tears by them. The updated graphics couldn't hide this fact.
Anyone playing MP for Halo or H2? How is the community?
I finally pulled the trigger on Halo MCC in mid March, then 2 weeks later it went on sale at 20% off... not even mad because $50 full price is still worth it for all six games
Absolutely agreed on Halo CE indoor combat being very samey and boring. I found that using skulls for some combat variety eased the pain... my fave is the "grunt funeral" skull which can kill an entire room of enemies using only one shot
I tried Halo: Reach but just couldn't get into it, the combat mechanics and game pacing are all over the shop.
I never tried that. But that wouldn't help when playing though The Library level and you have to kill the billionth flood repsawn
I thought Reach was fine but forgettable.
Fair point, and Flood AI is far more aggressive than Covenant.
There's an achievement for completing The Library on legendary without dying... seems impossible for the likes of my ability... I've finished Halo (2003 PC release) on legendary a few times over the years and it was a trial & error death/reload struggle in every chapter
