If anyones been to Hans Cafe in Perth(not sure if they're Aust wide yet) they serve up a very nicve chilli chicken & rice dish.

Anyone have any idea how they make their chilli paste for this dish?

Also anyone have any nice indonesian/malay recipes they wanna share? anything spicy/chilli would be good!

    Cheers,

I had Hans last night :) The chicken and cashew nut dish has the chilli paste aswell. Both are really good dishes.

This is why Perth sucks. Because they get stuff the rest of the states don't!

I know of two. One in Cannington attached to Carousel Shopping Center, other one is in Belmont near Reading cinemas.

They are everywhere, I've seen them at Joondalup, Whitford City, Leederville, Perth (Hey Street i think). Tasty food, cheap, and served fast. I saw what I think was the manager of the whitford one after eating there in the car park showing off his sports car to his asian buddies. Looked like a red ferrari, except i didn't see the emblem so it probably wasn't.

Also does anyone know if their foods contain MSG? I have a friend who says if everything tastes so good, they must be using MSG addatives.

The Ferrari is Chef Hans wife's car, he has a brand new 750 BMW, always see it at the Morley store.

Anyway back to the topic, anyone know how they make some of their dishes, is it indonesian style or what?

There is a Han's Cafe in Willetton also.

Can't help with recipes I'm afraid.

    website here: http://www.hanscafe.com.au/frame.html

They're pretty good for quick asian stuff, and more realible than random food court stuff. The pics on the website are from the Morley store, which is large, and quite nice.

However, if you are in Morley, try chatters cafe, better food, and the prices are about the same.

Hans isn't exactly a culinary delight.

Perhaps try a different dish, that's probably the plainest and blandest one on the menu :p

It's no 5 star restaurant, no, but for the price it's good food.
You'll also find that dishes vary in quality between different locations, some are a lot better than others.
