Apparently the UEFI system on Sandy Bridge decreases boot time, so I was wondering if anyone has done some Sandy Bridge and SSD tests (compared of other CPUs/BIOS, and mechanical HDDs).

My googlefu only yields preview news stories.

Yes UEFI posts / boots faster. A few seconds at least...

I haven't tried my SSD yet but my 300GB VELOCIRAPTOR boots into windows in less then 25 seconds from power up and about 20 seconds from F10 out of bios.

Is it fully responsive after that 25 seconds?
