They will be a bit more expensive than that by the time you factor in the NAS/rack/tower you also have to buy to run them so I'm curious how much extra that is going to cost you because for me 18 new drives is basically two re-purposed old PC's in full tower cases stuffed with these drives.

    I’ve got a 48 drive 4RU server, along with 6x 3RU 12 drive JBOD enclosures.

Adds nicely to the 400tb I already have.

What's your backup strategy with all that? I've managed to buy an LTO6 tape drive cheap to backup my stuff onto tape.

Got my six 10tb WD drives, shucked them all from the usb enclosure. Did the kapton tape trick on all six, every single one worked a treat! 60 TB raw going into my new freenas! Bargain.

how many drives did you order to get the $30 gift card ? Alot of people actually did get their orders processed, so either they ran out of stock or automation got them delivered.

Bugger! i was bummed i missed out. I would of ordered 10 because my ZFS setup is 10 raidz2 x 2. I wonder how many gift cards they would of given me. At least some OCAUers got the drives delivered.

As a result of me missing out on 2 super good deals posted here recently I've now subscribed to this thread with email notification :)
