Meh just ordered 10TB Seagate Backup Plus USB Hub(3.5" external) instead.
Internal 3.5" would be more convenient(and probably faster too) but I'll need to install the HDD cage back inside the case and also need two extra cables(power & sata), i.e. hassle..

Boo 10TB Seagate Backup Plus died after copying ~3TB of movies..
Luckily I was able to get full refund at Officeworks(maybe cos it's less than 24hrs old) and bought used 10TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro(only ~5TB written & ~3 months old according to serial no) for $350.

It suddenly stopped working after I copied 3x ~1TB of movies.. couldn't access the drive but the it was spinning all the time at idle making bit of noise.
So I couldn't safely disconnect, had to turn the power off then unplug it.. then I just took it back to Officeworks and they quickly tested it but couldn't even detect it.

Umm just connected the 10TB HDD(boo hassle.. and extra 2 cables ><).. but says ~400MB used space according to properties? so formatted the HDD again(quick format) but still same.
Is this normal? or should I be concerned? i.e. bad sector?

Ok, I just ran all the tests on that link you provided.. results:

So do you think the hard drive is fine?
According to the 2nd test 0MB used on MFT, but shouldn't that be 394MB? since it says 394MB used on properties.

Difference between USED and RESERVED - at different layers.

If I RESERVE you a seat on a plane, and you don't arrive, is it USED?

No. It's empty - just like your empty MFT.

But no one else can book it, so it is still used as far as the booking system (filesystem) is concerned.

I'd say the drive is perfectly fine. If you're worried, run a full test with patterns and validation.
Linux has a great tool for that that I forget the name of.

If you do that, be prepared to wait a week or so for it to finish.
