HDD prices

    Anyway on another note...

    For anyone interested in the USB3 Seagate Goflex Freeagent's, you can remove the drives from the enclosures without damaging it / breaking stickers.

    They are quite a bit more challenging to open than the Hitachi XL enclosures but not bad once you have done a couple, man does it hurt your fingers though :(

    yeah i had this problem with the 4tb hitachi touros lol, it bloody hurts!

    yeah some do work however you need to pry your fingers under the Seagate casings to stop it closing again / hold it apart so yeah your fingers are in for some loving no matter what :lol:

    i'm getting pretty darn good at diassembling these cases. but they made it such that the clips will break on prying apart., but i can be clicked back as there are enough clips to hold the thing back together... no way of doing it neatly though , will always scuff up the external casing.

    yeah it really is like a brute force attack on these things lol, by my 4th i had it down pat. im sure your a veritable expert now!

    I just brought 20x 3tb Seagate 7200rpm drives from the states for 130USD a pop, cost me a shade under 2700 shipped.
