As long as the latency is fine then I don't think it'd really matter.

Just wanted to share my headphone modification for the day.

12Gast sent me his old broken Ad700x's

    - Disassembled them.
    - Cleaned them up.
    - Removed the busted cable.
    - Modded the cup to house a 3.5mm jack.
    - New thick velour ear pads.

Now running at 120% fun little build :D

Can anyone recommend me a gaming headset for PC and wireless! Prefer over ear cups and boom mic.

Whats best bang for buck under or around $200?

Related.. I'm using a pair of Audio Technica ATH-A900X headphones...looking for a microphone- what desktop mic would you recommend?

Some years ago I used a Zalman clip-on...but quality wasn't so good. Budget ~$50 give or take

To me you've got 3 options really

    1. Audio-Technica ATH-DSR7BT - Using these right now
    2. Sony WH1000XM3 - Tested and enjoyed them. Just prefer the sound stage of the AT
    3. Bose QuietComfort 35 - Used to run these till they broke (totally my fault). These have a large fan base. Aqeduate base, good sound stage and pretty compact

guys whats the absolute best wireless for FPS gaming? i feel my urbanite xl are not the best for pinpointing sound locations

all the reviews im reading point to steel series Arctis 7 or Arctis pro but then i saw logitech g pro x wireless then pc gamer has Razer Nari Ultimate in their list with its Haptic feedback so now im less decided than before :(

or else should i just buy shroud's headset - HyperX Cloud Flight wireless

As per 100s of other posts, drop the wireless requirement if you want good quality & ignore everything with "Gaming" in the product name.

What headphones would you recommend then? I'm looking for a pair to replace my Corsair HS70s. Can't stand the wireless anymore, and the battery life is annoying.

Need to be great for gaming and listening to music.

    Upto about $350?
