I am sure I saw in some early youtube reviews somewhere that if you use adaptive performance FPS, the graphics quality goes to shit like what you are seeing, cant remember the link now. Try Setting Adaptive Performance FPS to off, FPS limit to unlimited and Render Scale to 100%. See if that resolves your issue or not mate ?

Everyone needs to wait a few weeks to enjoy this game how it should be.

This is of course assuming they can fix up some issues.

1.01 patch live, but seems I need to wait for another patch or 2.. at the very least aloy being off centre, so frustrating.

God damn, have been reading mixed stuff re: Mouse + KB, so disappointing.
As always in these games movement with M+KB is shit but aiming with a joypad is even worse esp with bows and not pray-and-spray automatic pew pew pew

Just started playing this. It is stunningly beautiful! The sound design is excellent, and the environments are gorgeous. I've spent most of my first few hours just running around hunting machines, and collecting sporkberry roots, without paying attention to quests.

Yup it's amazing. Especially in HDR on a nice OLED/QLED. Easy to get distracted in this game.

The next game is looking just unbelievable.

I'm running it on a bog standard 34" 3440x1440 VA panel with no HDR, and it still looks incredible.

Yup it's nuts. Being VA it will have nice native contrast which would help too.

Its a great game. I'm actually kinda amazed anyone played this on consoles as I find hitting the weak spots hard enough with mouse, i can't imagine trying to hit some of the faster dinos with joysticks....

Like most console games, it will be a complete handholding exercise on the original machine. Whereas on the PC it's a genuine challenge.

I'm playing on Hard difficulty, and although the hitboxes are absurdly generous (you can fire an arrow practically one metre to the side of a Watcher, and you'll still get a direct hit on its eye; I guess that's a leftover from the console programming) the extra damage from enemies makes you work harder for every kill.

Classic example of this: I was stalking a Watcher, and as he ducked behind a sporkberry tree I decided to take a shot with my bow anyway, just for the lulz. It hit him even though he'd already stepped out of sight!

I swear, that arrow noclipped straight through the side of the tree! What did it even hit? Half a pixel on the side of his tail, or something?

I played a bit on ps4 pro and also played on pc with controller it's not too bad actually especially if you jump and have the slow mo perk. Mouse is alot easier though.
