Just bought a couple of bottles of hot sauce from the web.

I'm a big fan of hot stuff, and often have tabasco on just about everything, but these things kicked my ass bigtime.

Tabasco is rated at 2100 'scovilles' which is the unit used to describe hotness of sauce. Roughly one part per million of chilli 'heat' rates as 1.5 Scoville units. The sauce I bought rates at 550,000! There are sauces right up to 16,000,000, but they are really expensive and rare.

I just did a taste of the two sauces I bought, with a tiny dollop on the end of a knife, both of them burnt the shit out of my mouth, and I am shaking and sweating and feeling dizzy. Adrenalin is rushing through my body and it is a real rush.

I bought one called mega death, which is the real hot one, and one called who dares burns, which isn't as hot, and will be more useful in the kitchen.

Anyway, for those that are keen/insane, some links:

http://www.hot-headz.com/ this is where I bought them

    http://www.hotsauceworld.com/blairmegdeat.html the mega death sauce

    http://www.firebox.com/?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=29 who dares burns

http://www.chez-williams.com/Hot Sauce/hothome.htm a listing of the hottest sauces in the world

    Enjoy!

That stuff sounds pretty hot... just make sure you know the health effects of too much/too strong chilli... can screw up your internals pretty bad... so go easy on it

Mate I eat chillis raw too, and these make that look like munching of strawberrys or something. These sauces are a whole new level of hot. They are both really hot, the who dares burns is definately a nicer sauce, but if you want ass kicking, tear jerking hot that you can give to your friends when they are drunk and think their tough, get the mega death. Its not as bad at first, but it sticks around and burns your whole mouth and throat for a go 20-30 minutes, and I only tasted the tiniest blob of it, no bigger than a pinhead.

you want it nice enought to know its hot, but also make it enjoyable

    all the hotheads asian?? :)

cos i don't know of ANY non-asian ppl that eat hot stuff. Hell u go to most places and when on the menu it says hot, to asian it's like this is slighty spicy and then u see some non-asian ppl eating it and they'll be like "so hot etc etc"

*remembers that burger in macca's that's SUPPOSE to be hot*

I like the flavor of habanero but not the heat, its just too much for me, the folks that make Tabasco sauce also make a habanero Tabasco sauce that has all the taste but not the extreme heat that goes with it, give it a try if you want to "work up" to the higher heat levels:
    http://www.tabasco.com/tabasco_tent/pepper_sauce/habanero_pepper_sauce.cfm

Ive had that Blair 16 million sauce (I have a CRAZY hothead friend) it costs about $125 a bottle and will literally BREAK your mouth and make you forget about eating for a few hours---he loves it and is immune, all I got to do is see the bottle and my mouth starts perspiring...

That place has cost me a fortune over the years and was on my itinerary every time I visited Melbourne.

I buy the Flinders Hot Tomato sauce by the dozen.

The chilliworks habanero paste is deadly. A couple jars of that will last me the winter :upset:

My father in-law imports hot sauces from http://www.ashleyfood.com/.

He got some just before Christmas and damn it, hot aint the word. I've had the 1 million scovell(?) heat one and thats just stupid.

Like a pin head on a tooth pick, was enough to make me sweat for about an hour.

Its like lava running through your mouth :)

If you want hot, get the 357 sauce. The inferno is also pretty hot, but the Chille extract (mad dogs revenge) is just stupid. It comes with a metal tie bar across the lid with a warning on it :)

    http://www.ashleyfood.com/acatalog/Mad_Dog__s_Revenge_Habanero_Chile_Extract.html

Word of warning, if you import these sauces you will be checked at customs. they charged us $28 to open the box and check them.

keke how excited are ya mate??

Yeh, but see, there's different kinds of 'hot'... chillies, curries, peppers, wasabi, etc etc... just depends on your culture I guess
