Haha the 3GB per month broadband era, must have been around 2005.

I was an Optus cable user back then, we weathered it out on grandfathered netstats

So did I, but not so much saving....but being wise about consumption and queuing files ready for the eom onslaught, making sure I squeezed out every single kilobyte I possibly could. Ahhh yes, the bad old days.

depending how often you end up paying $16 it might be worth getting a 12 month prepaid with boost for $150 (gives 80gb to use over the year): https://boost.com.au/plans/#Long-Expiry

ends up costing $12.50 per month and you get the benefit of telstra 4G
