    Hi Everyone.
Please let me know if this is the worng forum or send me on my way.
I recently put this laptop with the following specs at harvey norman. Good price and needed something new.
    • HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0040au

    • AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700U with Radeon™ Vega 10 Graphics (2.3 GHz base clock, up to 4 GHz max boost clock, 6 MB cache, 4 cores)
    • Windows 10 Home 64
    • 15.6" diagonal FHD IPS micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1080)
    • 16 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
    • 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
My question is can this laptop deal with faster ram and a larger sdd? On the HP website this same latop comes with a 1tb sata drive. My question isnt how to do it. I simply would like to know if it can be done. Large capacity ssd and faster or more ram.

    Thanks in advance

    would depend on exact model
but seems 16 ram may be it

takes a sata & pcie drives, but if you upgrade the pcie to 1tb, the 512 becomes leftover.
if it takes a sata as well, i think putting a 1tb in there would be a cheaper option.
you said not how to, but this might be the biggest task if it hasnt got easy access panels.

Thanks Phil. I think 16gb is the top. Was wondering of there was a faster 16gb though. Alos Im not sure about the extra STAT but will keep looking. Have a great day

    well according to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06267280

512 pci-e drive (no extra port) 512 is max (altho im not sure why you cant put bigger in) ?
ram: 16 max, but really, why do you want faster ram? i doubt you'd even notice with the specs it has, & buy a portable ssd usb drive for space
if it runs slow its more likely to be crap hp bloatware on it
    imho
