there was a lol here too. i've enjoyed benching old cards for a while. for starters they are cheap.

i understand that the scoring is based on the number or people who have submitted a bench and your rank in that bunch. if 5 people have submitted a bench for a piece of kit the points available are low. if thousands have made submissions for a certain card / cpu the points available are much higher.

i've got most of my points from benching 88s simply because so many submissions were made with that series.

i spoke to fatguy briefly when he bought my last 88gts and he was pretty pissed about the new scoring system. theres a mega thread about it over on the hwbot forums... i think there is still a big arguement raging about the details and its implementation.

again, wd muz. its good to see the ocau team firing up again with new cards and now with a new benchmark to score on.

i think its reporting the wrong clock speed. it seems to show the clock speed for the stock multiplier multiplied by the bclk on my system. unless aussie you have one of the magical 2600k which does 5.7 on air

Well good to see you got a half decent chip rev  If it can do 5 ghz on auto tune it could possibley do a fair bit more with some solid tweaking .

The guy I sold my 2600 k to can only get 4.6 and thats unstable , hes got it sitting on 4.5 atm . Glad I sold it

lovely chip you have there aussie. i've been messing around with a few bits in the house this week so i'm still yet to give my new 580 a work out. any news on getting the hwbot link working again?

my best single card score is a little under 28k with a 5850. yet to try with single 5870. i would be a little surprised to get over 30k with that.
also i think it's funny with a few of us hijacking threads with our hwbot stories as there is no hwbot forum here.
hey yamunsa your points are dropping a little quicker than mine and i'm back in 2nd :D
i noticed about a 10 point team increase, was that your new system aussie revhead? weren't you down to under 40 points, and now up to a little under 50?

edit: aussie just saw on hwbot your 1 submission worth 9.9 points. awesome job man!

    wow man.
may i suggest to make/customise the graph in afterburner user define fan speed to adjust fan speed according to gpu temps. makes for worry free benching especially when you hear the fan speed up during benchmarking, and you dont have to have it running so fast all the time (slows down after benchmark)
