yeah both really, the way i look at it, the modules are rated at 1.65 as are most modules these days

1.8 is a tiny increase compared to what we give our CPU's (1.2 to 1.5 1.6, etc)

i always run my modules at 1.74 (unless they are better at lower volts) and i am more than happy to push my hypes or any modules to 1.78 1.8 on air, and 1.84+ on LN2

Hey pro do you think my elpida BBSE will show much benefit from more than 1.75v?

Can't wait to see some sandbagging

yeah bbse is similar to hyper, just a little dont like as tight cas/trcd

i think you can try up to 1.74 with virtually no risk (but im not guaranteeing it lol), but i recall my BBSE kit not scaling too much past about 1.74.. that was all on X58 though, I cant talk for other platforms

I'll give it a twirl later tonight
I have them at 1.74 at the moment and they are doing 7-8-7-22 1T but I could only get my tRFC to 88
This is on my P55 rig

    Also: Great job snappy :)

My BBSE kit doesn't scale much past 1.75v on 1155, also doesn't like a tight tRCD but can run a tight CL and even tighter tRAS. Running 2133 7-9-6-25 1T right now. 1.68v.

lol@dino with no time to bench, I would have been surprised if you didn't sneak a sub in somewhere lol

I think my e8700 doesn't like me, anyone want to trade it for a water friendly CPU?

    :(

Aus-Devine - nah man I was thinking more along the lines of an e8500 or 8600 as long as it doesn't need cold

Dino - like in booj's pic? You and your sandbags?

    :D
